On the Mat
Jack always tries to lead by example. By pushing himself, he inspires others around him to work hard. But even more than that, Jack is happy to take everything he's learned and share it with his teammates. This quality is what made him a team Captain as a freshman on his Varsity high school team.

In fact, Jack already knows that coaching is in his future, and he's always eager to assist in the corner for peers and younger wrestlers whenever he is asked. This desire to help and coach has made him an even more focused and driven athlete himself.Â
Off the Mat
An excellent student, Jack also drives his peers in the classroom. He is on track to graduate next spring with an Advanced Studies diploma and has pushed himself with Honors and AP courses throughout high school.

Beyond his standard curriculum, Jack has participated in Theater and Theater Tech classes, where he has established himself as a leader in this area as well. He has consistently led his peers in set construction and sound technician work for the department's spring musicals. His work in technical theater earned him the Outstanding Theater Tech Student award this spring. Outside of school, Jack has lent his time working with local community theater groups, assisting backstage as needed.Â

Jack has volunteered extensively with his church since adolescence, when he began serving as an acolyte. He eventually led the acolytes and trained new volunteers until graduating from the group. He has been an active participant in the church Youth Group for several years and served as Treasurer before moving into the role of President. He is now in his second term in this role, which gives him a seat as Youth representative on the greater Church Council. As a Youth Group member, Jack has had many opportunities to participate in community service, from supporting the local Lions Club and helping with the food pantry to serving at a community Trunk-or-Treat for local kids every fall.Â
